Thornaby Hat trick hero Curtis Edwards comments after the match
" I thought the team performance was one of the best overall this season both defence and attack where excellent, apart from Connor's little mistake but other than that he had a very good game and I’d rather him do that when we are comfortable at 3-0 than in a tighter game, I was happy to get my first hat trick for Thornaby and personally think it about time I scored ha-ha the first goal I was just in the right place at the right time and Clarky did well to direct it too me, my second just happened so quick i just seen the ball dropping and volleyed it luckily it flew in, and my 3rd took a bit more thought there was discussions between me and Clarky but he let me have it and i managed to score but great win too kick onto Saturday to take another 3 points from Seaham"
Thornaby Manager Paul Edwards comments after the match
" Thornaby went into the game with Curtis coming in for the injured Barton and Ritchie Walker returned after missing 2 due to work. We played really well 1st half and moved the ball around with a lot of pace. We created number of chances and went in 2-0 up.
In the second half we scored a great free kick and then stumbled a bit and our play was to slow and predictable. We then conceded a sloppy penalty and then woke up. We were a lot better for the reminder of the game scoring a few goals.
A great win and result.
