Thornaby manager Neil Radigan and Thornaby Assistant Manager Paul Edwards c comments after the match
" We started the game in a 4-4-2 formation with Livingstone and Melvin up top and Gary Wood making his league debut. We didn't really start the game in the right manner and couldn't get hold off the ball and keep it. The visitors were lively and we never really settled. We scored a good goal when Winter knocked the ball down to Jon Burton who turned his man and fired home, low into the corner.
HT 1-0
A few words were exchanged and a few instructions given out, we came out second half with a good start, loads of energy and passing we got a grip of the game and started to play really well. We scored another 2 goals through Wells and Livingstone. We should have scored 3 or 4 more and deserved the 3 points.
Well done boys"
My view is that I thought both sides were poor in the first half but we got that goal we needed and lifted ourselves before half time and created a few good efforts. Second half came out and showed really intent and got what we deserved overall not the best performance by us but 3 points are all that matter. Well done lads.
