Welcome to Teesdale Park for today's FA CUP 1st Qualifying Round vs Ossett United we hope that the players, Management, committee and supporters of Ossett United enjoy your trip to Teesdale Park.
Our last match was only on Tuesday night where we welcomed Sunderland RCA to Teesdale Park and to be honest I am still puzzled as too how we got nothing from the match after taking the lead through Adam Preston who has scored 4 goals in 2 matches since he signed from Redcar Athletic.
We conceded 2 goals in the second half and unfortunately we could not level the match.
Once again we played some great football and matched RCA in the match to be honest my only criticism of the lads is that we have had some great chances in several matches to either win or get a point from the matches so we need to start being more clinical in front of goal including last night as we should have been 2-0 up before RCA got a foothold on the match.
On the plus side I will praise the lads as we have matched most of the sides we have played and played some unbelievable football.
The players have got us to the first Qualifying Round for the first time since the 2005-2006 season where we got to the 3rd Qualifying Round where we got beat 3-1 by Leek Town and for that the lads deserve respect and they have shown in our FA Cup run so far that we belong in the first division so the results will come.
Ossett United are in a league higher than us they beat our local rivals Billingham Town 4-3 in the last round so it will be a tough match but it's one that we should embrace in my opinion and enjoy the occasion the players, club and town deserves moments like this and hopefully you never know what can happen in the magic of the cup.
Let's get behind the lads and show Ossett United how much we love football in Thornaby
keep the faith.
