Full Time score Thornaby FC 2-2 Alnwick Town Thornaby welcomed Alnwick Town to Teesdale Park with Thornaby looking to carry on from the previous 2 wins.  Thornaby made 4 changes to the team for Today with Oliver Simpson replacing Guy craggs in goal, James Grainger coming in for Stephen Morrison, Jack Bailey coming in for Michael James and Daniel Chapman coming in for the injured Jason Honeyman.  It was the visitors who had the first effort of the match when a cross from the left found the head of Stephen Young who headed wide from 8 yards out. Thornaby's first chance came with 15 minutes gone after Daniel Chapman's run found him on the edge of the box and his left footed effort went past the post. Thornaby then took the lead 2 minutes later when Joe Hillerby's low shot from 20 yards was saved by Ian Todd but it was only parried out to KURTIS HOWES who tapped home from 10 yards out past the keeper. The visitors almost responded straight away when Chris Laidlaw played in Ryan Douglas who fired wide from just outside the box. Thornaby then had a spell in the match and could have been 2-0 up during this spell when firstly Lewis Murphy was played through one on one and he seen his effort saved by Todd in the Alnwick goal and then moments later good play by Daniel Chapman on the right hand side seen him cut inside and his pass found Ben Jackson who could only hit straight at Ian Todd then about 30 seconds later Kurtis Howes cut inside and his effort from 16 yards out went just past the post. Alnwick had the final chance right on half time when Lewis Coyle's corner from the right found the head of Tom McPherson who headed against the bar from 6 yards out.  Half Time Thornaby FC 1-0 Alnwick Town  Alnwick levelled the match when a free kick found the head of JOSH HAY and his header looped over Simpson into the net with 48 minutes gone. The visitors almost took the after the home side feel asleep and Stephen Young seen his effort hit the post. The visitors continued to create chances when Young seen his effort saved by the legs off Simpson.  Thornaby retook the lead against the run of play when Kurtis Howes pass found the head of Sub Dom Tiffany who played in DANIEL CHAPMAN who sidefooted into the net with 67 minutes gone. Alnwick levelled once again when a free kick was given away and from the free kick simpson had the free kick in his hands and he could only drop it to JOSH HAY who tapped home from 1 yard out with 77 minutes gone. Thornaby Had the final effort of the match when Ben Jackson's corner from the right found the head off Joe Gibson whose header went straight into the hands of Todd.  The final whistle went soon after in a match where Thornaby will be frustrated not to have been 2 or 3 up in the first half but credit to Alnwick in the second half but the draw still keeps Thornaby unbeaten at Home at the moment.  Referee: Dave Carr Attendance:43   Man of the match: Daniel Chapman
