Manager Steven Bell went with the same team that won 4-0 vs Tow Law a week and a half ago.

Thornaby took the lead with 2 minutes gone when Joe Posthill's cross from the left was turned into the net by Esh Defender NATHAN COBAIN into his own net. Esh had there first chance of the match when Matthew Allison's cross from the left found Joe Mole who headed just past the post. It then became 2-0 when Joe Scaife Wheatley's cross shot was put into his own goal by NATHAN COBAIN with 22 minutes gone. Thornaby looked nervous after this and gave the ball away several times and were punished when Allison's corner from the right found JONATHAN SWIFT who headed into the net with 36 minutes gone.

Although Billingham Town won which confirmed them as league champions congratulations to all at Billingham Town.

Man of the match: Jack Bailey

While we didn't play well yesterday we still got the result we needed and I would change nothing about the club this season from the unbelievable players who went 15 matches without losing yesterday and are a talented and down to earth set of lads, the management team won have shown unbelievable passion and get the results and of course not forgetting our unbelievable fans who have supported us fantastically all season and have certainty helped us get results throughout the season.

I have been involved with the club for 15 years and this is by far the best season I have ever been involved in massively proud of everyone involved with the club.

From looking at the Points per game average table table we are guaranteed to finish in the top 11 so we are officially PROMOTED.

Wish all the best to the division 2 sides and a massive thank you to you all for your fantastic hospitality.

Regarding next season it will be tough but sure Belly and Crager will add where needed.

A massive thank you to everyone and see you all in July.
