Thornaby welcomed bottom of the table Esh Winning with Gary Mitchell making his first appearance since recovering from a broken foot, Ben Jackson returning and Michael Duff back in goal for the first time in 2 months.
The visitors had the first effort when Andrew Clarkson seen his effort tipped behind for a corner. Thornaby had there first chance of the match when Ben Jackson's cross from the right found its way to Nathan Evans on the left side of the box who fired over the bar. Esh took the lead when Callum Boakes cross was dropped by Keeper Duff to the feet of KIERAN DAY who tapped home with 17 minutes gone. The visitors almost made it 2-0 when Andrew Clarkson found himself on the right hand side of the box and he fired over the bar. Thornaby levelled the match when Ben Jackson's quality pass found Karl Charlton who put the ball across goal and it hit a Esh defender and then hit GARY MITCHELL with the ball then going into the net to level the match with 40 minutes gone. Thornaby then made it 2-1 when Stephen Gamble's low drilled ball from the left found GARY MITCHELL whose clever finish from 8 yards out found the goal with 45 minutes gone.

Esh had the first effort of the Second half when Andrew Clarkson's effort was deflected just behind for a corner. Thornaby made it 3-1 when GARY MITCHELL was fouled in the Penalty area and Mitchell stepped up to convert to the Middle of the goal for his Hat trick with 70 minutes gone. The visitors had the next chance when a cross from the right found the head of Clarkson whose free header went straight into the hands of Duff. It was almost 4-1 when Ben Jackson's brilliant cross found Louis Johnson whose sliding effort was superbly saved by Fish in the Visitors goal. The home side had the final effort of the match when Karl Charlton's effort went straight into the hands of Mark Fish.
